71.4 Adoption of the Metric System in Canada
Whereas,
- The introduction of the Metric System in Canada would establish a means of measurement more applicable to a technical society; and,
- 110 countries now use the Metric System and many of these are trading nations with Canada; therefore,
RESOLVED,
That the National Council of Women of Canada request the Government of Canada to take steps to introduce the use of the Metric System in Canada.
