Whereas 2, the financial cost of prenatal testing and treatment is inconsequential compared to the enormous costs involved in treating and supporting a child who is born HIV positive and who may become an orphan in a very short time, therefore be it
Resolved 1, that the National Council of Women of Canada adopt as policy that HIV testing be a routine part of the care of all pregnant women in Canada.
