Bearing in mind the increasing cost, financially and in office resources, of present day communication, and the present and future extension of IT services, the ICW Standing Committee on Sustainable Development requests the International Council of Women to explore the setting up of a list-serve service network and "chat room", to provide opportunities for members worldwide to discuss issues and share information.
That ICW set up a list-serve service (IT network including a "chat room") to provide opportunities for members worldwide to discuss issues, share information and make personal contacts. Such a network (or networks) would provide the means for the Standing Committees to reach out to members and for members to have feedback to maintain their interest and stimulate projects; it could also extend the interest and participation of members in advocacy, project development, international friendships, and much more.
