-President Penny Rankin-President’s Message
Since 1893, the National Council of Women of Canada (NCWC) has brought women together to build a society rooted in safety, equality, opportunity, and human rights for all.
We advocate for policies that support individuals and families, empower communities, and protect the well-being of vulnerable groups. Through collaboration, education, and direct engagement with policymakers, we address issues like gender-based violence, access to healthcare, housing, and equal opportunity.
While the challenges we face are complex, we remain united and determined. By amplifying the voices of women and girls, we strive to ensure their needs are prioritized in Canada’s future.
Join us in shaping a more just, inclusive, and secure Canada. To get involved, contact us at presncwc@gmail.com.

The NCWC acknowledges that the lands in Canada are home to many Indigenous communities who have held relationships with this land for generations. We thank them for sharing their land and water with us, and recognize the historical and ongoing legacy of colonialism and the harm it has caused. We will strive to make this acknowledgment a reality—not only in our words but through actions that address past injustices.
