Common Program looking to the Future

Members across our network are invited  to contribute their ideas for the 2025-2027 Common Program.   Suggestions will be reviewed and shared at the AGM in Montreal at which time we'll select a focus area based on the most prevalent themes. As a grassroots organization, it is important that we reflect and honour the passions and commitment of our members through this process. Please submit your suggestions to NCWC.communications@gmail.com  by May 16th 2025.

Honourable Murray Sinclair January 1951 – November 2024

On behalf of the National Council of Canada, I wish to express how deeply saddened we are upon hearing of the passing of the Honourable Murray Sinclair. His monumental contributions as Manitoba’s first Indigenous judge and as the leader of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission have profoundly shaped our understanding of justice and reconciliation in Canada. His legacy of compassion, wisdom, and advocacy for Indigenous rights will continue to inspire generations. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. May his spirit find peace as he embarks on this new journey.
