National Council of Women of Canada (NCWC) Marks 132nd Anniversary and Welcomes New President 

The National Council of Women of Canada (NCWC), one of the country’s oldest and most respected women’s advocacy organizations, convened in Montreal this weekend to celebrate its 132nd anniversary and announce a leadership transition. After two years of dedicated service as President, Marianne Wilkinson has concluded her term, leaving a legacy of advocacy for women’s rights and social justice. Succeeding her as President is Penny Rankin, who previously served as Vice President for Children and Youth for the NCWC and was a former President of the Montreal Council of Women. As stated by Marianne Wilkinson: “Ms. Rankin brings a dynamic vision and a renewed commitment to advancing the Council’s mission of improving the quality of life for women, families, and communities across Canada.”
