70.A Central Information and Referral Services
Whereas, A co-coordinating central information and referral service in a community leads to efficient and economical procuring of services to those in need of them; and,
Whereas, Twenty-four hour information and referral services are required to meet the needs of the individual in crisis, therefore:
RESOLVED, That the National Council of Women of Canada request its Federated Associations to promote in their respective localities the establishing of Information and Referral Centers providing both telephone and visiting facilities on a twenty-four hour basis.
